A total of 20 wanted personalities were arrested by the PRO-CAR cops, while 52 municipalities in the region recorded zero crime incidents during the weeklong anti-criminality campaign from June 30 to July 6, 2024.
Based on the records from the Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division, the Baguio City Police Office (CPO) recorded the highest number of arrests, capturing nine wanted personalities, followed by the Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO) with six arrests, Kalinga PPO with three arrests, and Ifugao PPO with two arrests.
Among the apprehended individuals, four were identified as Most Wanted Persons (MWPs) listed at the Provincial Level and two were MWPs at the Regional Level.
Moreover, records also revealed that peace prevailed in the 52 municipalities across the various provinces in the region, along with five police stations in Baguio City, where no crime incidents were recorded during the same period.
Zero crime incidents were recorded in 19 municipalities in Abra, nine municipalities in Mountain Province, eight in Ifugao, seven in Benguet, five in Apayao, and four in Kalinga.
Additionally, in Baguio City, Police Station (PS) 2, PS3, PS5, PS7, and PS9 also recorded zero crime incidents out of the 10 police stations in the city. (PRO-CAR PIO)
