Session Road will be closed to vehicular traffic on Sundays this month of September to cater to activities and events as part of the month-long celebration of the 115th Baguio City Charter Anniversary.
Mayor Benjamin B. Magalong issued Executive Order No. 86 series of 2024, authorizing the closure of Session Road to vehicular traffic on September 1, 22 and 29 at various times throughout the day in line with Baguio Day celebration.
For September 1, Session Road will be temporarily closed to vehicular traffic from 1Am to 9PM to give way to the Baguio Country Fair set-up, Baguio Day parade, and the Baguio Country Fair activities.
On September 22, Session Road will be temporarily closed to vehicular traffic from 1AM to 7PM to give way to the set-up and program proper of the Mid-Autumn Festival of the Filipino-Chinese Association of Baguio starting from the middle of Session Road to Upper Session Road and the Eco Waste and Sustainability Fair of the City Environment Parks and Management Office at Lower Session Road.
On September 29, Session Road will be used as venue for the continuation program of the Mid-Autumn Festival of the Filipino-Chinese Association of Baguio starting from the middle of Session Road to Upper Session Road and the Family Month and Children’s Month activities of the City Social Welfare and Development Office at Lower Session Road.
Activities will be coordinated and spearheaded by the City Administrator’s Office through the Tourism, Culture and Arts Division while the Baguio City Police Office was directed to come up and implement a security and traffic management plan to reduce the road closure impact to the public. – JM Samidan
