Taking cognizance of being a melting pot of culture and people, the city government of Baguio takes on tradition and innovation as this year’s theme for the 115th Charter Anniversary.
“Baguio Fusion: Tradition, Innovation. Celebration,” is this year’s charter day celebration of Baguio City reflecting the city’s dynamic blend of rich cultural heritage and forward-thinking spirit.
The City Tourism Office during the August 27, 2024 flag raising rites at the City Hall grounds unfurled a month-long list of activities in an aim to encapsulate a vibrant community that honors its past while embracing the future.
The Charter Day program takes place Sunday, September 1 by 8AM at the Baguio Convention and Cultural Center. This will be followed by a civic parade at 10AM from the venue down Session Road to disperse at Malcolm Square but will automatically be canceled in case of heavy rain.
Session will be busy on Sept. 1 with the Baguio Country Fair activities particularly the Mr. and Ms. Baguio Country Fair, Line Dance Competition, Solo Singing Dog Fashion Show, and Battle of the Country Bands.
