Benguet Electric Cooperative (BENECO) advises consumers to pay only to legitimate collection centers to make sure payments are credited into their system.
In their official advisory, only those paid in official centers are credited as they are the ones in control of the system. Payment to other unofficial sites will not be credited as BENECO has not disclosed or given authority to any third party the records and the system of payments.
Official payment centers are at the following business centers:
- BENECO Headquarters – South Drive, Baguio City
- BONUAN Conduminium – Salud Mitra, Baguio City
- Maharlika Livelihood Complex – Baguio City
- BENECO Office – Km. 4, La Trinidad
- BENECO Bldg. Bekes, Buyacaoan, Buguias.
All payments must be machine-validated to make sure they are entered into the system. BENECO further noted that they do not have a collection center at the YMCA Building.
The recent issue in BENECO is currently under deliberation at the Court of Appeals and public officials in Baguio and Benguet as well as the Committee on Energy of the House of Representatives have urged the two parties for a status quo until this matter is resolved.
