Bontoc, Mountain Province –Bringing its services closer to its clients, the Pag-IBIG Fund
has now its satellite office located on the 3rd Floor of the Bontoc Municipal Capitol.
Bontoc Mayor Franklin Odsey approved the request of the Pag-IBIG Fund to be provided
space free of charge at the Bontoc Municipal Capitol since it now has personnel who will
report to its satellite office from Mondays to Fridays to accept and process loans and
provide services to the members.
Mervin Pereda, the Pag-IBIG Fund Area Head of Ilocos Region (Dagupan, Urdaneta, La
Union, Vigan, and Ilocos Norte) and Baguio–Branches, along with Branch Head Corina
Joyce Balanon-Calaguin of Pag-IBIG Fund Baguio-Branch met with Mayor Odsey on
March 15, 2022, at the Mayor’s Office of the Bontoc Municipal Capitol, to express their
gratitude for the latter’s positive response to their request.
According to Pereda, the Pag-IBIG Fund –Satellite Office located at the Bontoc
Municipal Capitol will not only cater to members from the capital town but the other
municipalities of Mountain Province and even neighboring provinces as well.
In response, Mayor Odsey mentioned that it is one way in which the Bontoc LGU can be
of help.
“The public or Pag-IBIG Fund members would be spared from the hassle going thru
rigors of traveling and queuing at the Pag-IBIG Fund- Baguio Branch. The presence of a
satellite office in Bontoc will lessen the financial burden and time of members traveling to
Baguio City to process their documents and avail of the services of Pag-IBIG Fund. We
cannot put a price on comfort and convenience,” the mayor added.
Also, Odsey lauded the Pag-IBIG Fund for its initiative in reaching out to the Bontoc LGU
for them to have a space at the Bontoc Municipal Capitol so they may continuously
provide effective and efficient services to the clients, especially during this pandemic.
Meanwhile, Calaguin mentioned while they are in Bontoc, Mountain Province, they have
accepted loan applications from members until March 16, 2022, and brought with them
the submitted application forms to Pag-IBIG- Baguio Branch.
Loan application forms are available at the Pag-IBIG Fund Satellite Office, 3rd Floor of
the Bontoc Municipal Capitol, or can be downloaded through the internet.
Among the services offered by Pag-IBIG are Membership & Savings Programs, Regular
Savings, Housing Loan, Home Equity Appreciation Loan (HEAL), Short-Term Loans.
Multi-Purpose Loan, Calamity Loan,n and Savings Claim (Regular & MP2 Savings). –
