In celebration of Cordilleran Creativity, the 8th Mandëko Kito Artisanal Market officially opened today at the Museo Kordilyera grounds in the University of the Philippines Baguio.
Showcasing the works of 30 talented creatives, this event celebrates the rich artistic traditions of the Cordilleras while providing a platform for local artisans to connect with the community. The market runs until December 1, offering a curated selection of arts, crafts, and gastronomic products.
Apart from unique handcrafted items, the event features free workshops for participants to engage in traditional and modern crafts. Activities include crocheting, stamp printing, wire accessory making, silvercraft, candle-making, pine needle accessory crafting, bead accessory making, and more. These workshops aim to foster hands-on learning and appreciation for artisan techniques .
