Regional convention highlights the Ibaloi language while bringing visitors from across Benguet and neighboring areas
BAGUIO CITY, Philippines — July 21, 2026 — Approximately 13,000 delegates are expected to attend a series of the 2026 Regional Conventions of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Baguio City and La Trinidad, Benguet, making it one of the region’s largest annual gatherings.
This year’s convention, themed “Eternal Happiness,” is being held worldwide by Jehovah’s Witnesses, with the same program presented in hundreds of languages from June through September. The free three-day program features Bible-based talks, interviews, videos, and the feature drama The Good News According to Jesus: Episodes 4–6. Admission is free, and no collections are taken.
A Milestone for the Ibaloi Language in Baguio City
A historic highlight of this year’s convention series is the first Ibaloi Regional Convention, to be held in Baguio City, at the Baguio Country Club. Following the successful inaugural Ibaloi Regional Convention held last year in La Trinidad, Benguet, this year’s event continues to make the full three-day convention program available in the Ibaloi language for local communities. Public talks, interviews, and live demonstrations will all be presented in Ibaloi.
The Ibaloi convention is expected to draw attendees from the municipalities and nearby areas of Atok, Tublay, Sablan, Itogon, Bokod, Tuba, Baguio City, La Trinidad, and parts of Ifugao. The same convention program will also be presented in Iloko, Tagalog, and Kankanaey on separate dates in July and August, allowing attendees to experience the program in their preferred language.
Community Impact
The conventions are expected to increase visitor activity throughout Baguio City and Benguet, benefiting hotels, restaurants, transportation providers, and other local businesses.

Benguet Multi-purpose Sports Complex, Wangal — July 24–26 (Iloko) and August 28–30 (Kankanaey)
Baguio Country Club — August 7–9 (Kankanaey), August 14–16 (Ibaloi), and August 21–23 (Iloko)
Hotel Supreme Mall and Events Center — August 14–16 (Tagalog)
